The Harbor Senior Care is family-owned and operated. That is why it is important to us that everyone is treated like family, including our residents, caregivers and administrative team members.

Katie Hartman RN,BSN

Administrator/Director of Nursing

Katie’s journey with Senior Care started as a teenager when she responded to an ad in the paper that stated “Nursing Home CNAs needed. Will train.” At the time she didn’t even know what CNA meant, but soon discovered a love for caregiving for the elderly that has become a passion of her life. However it was deeply impacting to see them in an environment that often found them inactive, overwhelmed and lonely. This was the beginning of the journey that would eventually lead Katie to found The Harbor Senior Care.

For over 25 years Katie has diligently pursued a career of caring for others through the profession of nursing. As an RN, Katie has worked in hospital, clinical and home health settings across many different disciplines including gynecology, oncology, pediatric hospice and senior care.

While managing a home health agency during the pandemic Katie’s passion for the elderly was renewed and she began to imagine a new and better way of care. “How can we continue to let this generation be alone without good care, interaction and the love they need and deserve?” And her answer is in the founding of The Harbor Senior Care. A real home, in a real neighborhood that provides safe, compassionate care in a family environment.

Alisha Conelly

Manager

Alisha is the Manager at The Harbor Senior Care at Pinedale. She has over a decade of management experience, and has been blessed to be with the Harbor since the beginning. She loves The Harbor because she gets to be part of a community that gives the highest quality of care to people who deserve a safe environment while receiving the dignified assistance they deserve. Getting to personally know our residents and their families has given Alisha a sense of fulfillment from life. She is a single mom of 4 wonderful children. In her spare time, Alisha loves to spend time with friends and family. She loves camping, traveling, trying new restaurants, and shopping at small town boutiques.

Riley caregiver

Rylie

Rylie has been a Certified Nursing Assistant for over two years working specifically with Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients. She also has experience with long-term care and rehabilitation. The Harbor Senior care has given her thorough training in Dementia and she has received a certification in Dementia Care. Rylie is extremely personable and can guarantee your loved one will enjoy their time together. She is beyond excited to care for people through The Harbor!

"In other facilities I have worked at in the past, I wasn’t able to get much one-on-one time with residents; little to no activities were conducted and it felt like I had a checklist of things to do. But here at the Harbor home, I am able to get that one-on-one time and entertain them and do the things they love."

Payton

Payton has been with us since May 2022 and enjoys doing activities with the residents, making them laugh and smile, and giving them hugs. She feels like she has impacted the residents and their families’ lives knowing their loved ones are being taken care of.

Ellie Caregiver

Elizabeth (Ellie)

Ellie is a sophomore from Council Bluffs, Iowa, and is dual majoring in forensic science with clinical psychology at the University of Lincoln in hopes of being a forensic psychologist in the future. When at home, Ellie enjoys spending time with family and friends and being active.
"I love the one-on-one relationships that are formed with residents and the love we all have for one another. You can’t get the same care at a “regular” assisted living facility."

Claire

Claire is currently in her second year at Bryan College of Health Sciences, working towards her nursing degree. Fun fact, Dr. Hartman (Katie’s husband) is her Statistics Professor. She has worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for over a year now and she absolutely loves it. She loves being able to care for other people and help them when they need it.
"Working at The Harbor Senior Care has been such an amazing experience. I love how close the care is and how it feels more like a home than a facility. It is also amazing because we are incorporating activities into their day so that they are moving and interacting with each other."

Brianna

The responsibility Brianna views as the most important is taking care of the residents and prioritizing them over anything else. She feels it is important to note that this is the last stop in their lives so making them happy is the least we can do for them. Since she came into the job with no experience at all, the best thing that has been most helpful has been on-the-job experience along with experienced co-workers.
"I feel like I have a different story in how proud I am of being a part of this company because I have been here from the beginning. I have seen this company grow from an idea into how it is today. I saw the house when it was first purchased, and I have been here since the first resident moved in. I am very proud when I see random people looking up that The Harbor Senior Care’s website because then I know my Mom has made it, and I feel proud that I’m involved in it, and that I’m one of the people that has made the company the way it is today."

Kaydence

Kaydence loves working with people and making her clients feel and know that they are loved and cared for. Creating relationships with elderly is very important to her. She enjoys everyone she works with and knowing she is able to make their lives a little brigher each and every day.
"I talk very highly of The Harbor to everyone, my family, friends, and even random people. I simply love The Harbor and want to see it succeed. I am the proudest that we are able to provide this much love and care to these special people. "

" I enjoy getting the residents ready for the day by picking out their clothes, giving showers, doing their hair and makeup, and making sure they feel good. There isn’t anything I do not enjoy. I love doing my job. I don’t just come to work. This is something I actually enjoy: making the residents smile, laugh, play games, and do other activities. "

Maci

Maci is studying aesthetic nursing and loves getting the opportunity to care for others. Nursing has always been what she has wanted to do and The Harbor Senior Care has been a great start to her journey.

Katelin

Katelin has been a CNA for a little over four years and a Medication Aide for three years. She is from Lincoln, but recently moved to the Omaha area after graduating college. In her free time, she enjoys camping, traveling, and spending time with friends. She absolutely loves the close-knit community that The Harbor provides. Her favorite part of the job is getting to know the residents and their families.

"One time I have felt like I have made a difference was the night I spent some extra time with Don because he was having a hard time sleeping and was struggling overall that day. He recollected this interaction to another caregiver later the next day, and it made me feel like I made a difference in his day."
Skylar Caregiver

Skylar

Skylar is currently taking her Gen Ed’s at Southeast Community College and plans on furthering her education at Bryan College of Health Sciences. She wishes to enroll in the Sonography program. When she is not at the Harbor home, she usually spends time with her friends and family, as well as her dog Marley.
"Being able to feel at home here is what I love the most about this job. Knowing that I come here and I am treated like family is something that I will take with me forever. I feel so proud and blessed to be a part of this company. I am constantly talking about how much I love being part of the Harbor family with anyone who is willing to listen. I am most proud when I show up to work and I’m greeted by all of the residents with a smile and I get to talk to them about their day and they always ask me about what's going on in my life outside of being here. I am truly shown love from all of the residents and it is so rewarding knowing that the littlest things make the largest difference. Working at the Harbor is a great representation on how love isn’t just given here it’s reciprocated on both ends."

Alyssa

Alyssa is a caregiver here at The Harbor Senior Care. She is originally from Lincoln but grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She moved back to attend Bryan College of Health Sciences in hopes to become a nurse anesthetist. Getting a job as a caregiver allows her to start out in the health care field. 

"I love spending time with each of the residents and making them comfortable in all aspects of their daily lives. They have become like family to me and make me laugh every day I spend with them. I am more than excited to be working at The Harbor Senior Care."
